Summer Party Makeup Look

The end of the year has fast approached, and it’s time that festivities in the form of Christmas parties commence! I thought I would share the makeup look I wore to a Christmas party about a week ago, as I really like how it turned out.

Face

For the base I kept it pretty simple. Moisturiser, concealer, and powder. The simplicity in my base wasn’t necessarily my choice however. You see, I fake tanned for this party and only realised that I had no foundations that matched my warmer, tanned skin tone until I started makeup, whoops! #blondemoment.

Therefore, I made use of what I had, which led me using my regular concealer, the Maybelline Fit Me underneath my eyes, and buffing the Australis Fresh and Flawless pressed powder into my skin all over. Thankfully, I had this powder in a shade that was too dark for my regular skin tone, and it was perfect for when I’m tanned.

And of course, prior to this I had moisturised with the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturiser for sensitive skin.

I then added some definition to my face, using my Australis AC ON TOUR palette to contour and highlight.

Eyes

Time for my favourite part! For the eyes, I softly blended the IT Cosmetics eyeshadow in “Passion” above my crease. Once I was happy with that, I added the Essence eyeshadow in “No Cream, No Sugar”. I then intensified the colours with another Essence eyeshadow in “Mr Mocca-Bean”, by adding it to the outer corners of my eyes, blending in across my crease. Next, I placed the IT Cosmetics eyeshadow in “Imagine” on my brow bone.

Now it’s time for some shimmer and sparkle! To do this I used the Colourpop Cosmetics eyeshadow in the shade “Ringer”. I placed it on about 3/4 of my eyelid, starting at the inner corner.

For eyeliner, I used the Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner to create a nice wing. I then ran the Models Prefer Kohl Pencil in “Dark Chocolate” along my lower lashline, and set it with the Essence eyeshadows I used earlier. I then finished it off with the IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara.

For eyebrows, I used my trusty Australis Brow Tint in blonde, running it gently through my eyebrows.

Lips

To finish the whole look off, I applied the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “Milan” for a bright coral pop of colour.

And there is the finished look! I really love how it turned out, a perfect summery party look. Hope you enjoyed!
