Goodbye 2017

It’s been an interesting year to say the least.

Highs, lows, happiness, sadness, coming from all walks of life worldwide.

We’ve witnessed strange trends and viral videos we’d rather forget.

We’ve seen countless amounts of unimaginable tragedy.

Australia finally got their act together and realised that everyone is equal to legally marry the person they love, not without wasting a whole lot of money in the process.

On an personal note, 2017 was my first year out of high school and in “the real world”. What a shock that was.

2017 will always be remembered in my mind as one of the strangest and most challenging years I’ve experienced so far. A crazy ride of ups and downs.

Between a sudden change in career path (although I didn’t realise it at the time, that turned out to be one of the best things to happen to me), experiencing one of the lowest points I’ve ever had in my mental health, and starting a blog, this year has been nothing short of boring.

If I could sum it up in one phrase I’d say “expect the unexpected”.

Anything can happen and you never know what’s around the corner. Whilst I can’t guarantee that 2018 will be better than 2017, let’s make an effort to be in the moment and live every new day to the fullest.

Strive to achieve your goals, make memories, trust the process. NEVER GIVE UP.

So goodbye 2017, hello 2018.

  1. Woah. 2017 has passed by so fast it’s incredible.
So many different happenings and occurrences (some good and some bad) and to be honest, it’s quite sad to see this year go.
I can already sense that 2018 is going to be an even better year, let’s head into it with our heads held high!
