Welcome to 2018! This is my first blog post for the year and what better way to kick it off with my 2018 goals. A new year has started and whilst I’m not really one for traditional “resolutions”, I definitely think it’s worthwhile to set yourself some goals, both long and short term to achieve during the year. Big or small, they all make a difference and give you some direction during the year (even if it’s just for the first few months). Here are some of my goals for this year.
Use a diary/planner consistently
I tend to use a diary a lot in the first 3 months of the year, and then I neglect it from April on wards, and that’s if I’m being good. Anyone relate? As I’m starting uni this year, I need to be more organised than ever, and use my planner consistently.
Keep a regular skincare routine
Something about me that you mightn’t know is I love creating routines, but sticking to them is another story. I have a skincare routine, but all it takes is one day of laziness where I don’t do it and it gets thrown completely out the window. I have a clarasonic, and using it helped my skin get to the best condition it’s ever been in. For some reason, 2017 saw me neglect my trusty clarasonic, and I honestly don’t know why. Therefore, I really want to aim to get back into a consistent skincare routine, clarasonic and all.
Wear sunscreen regularly
On a similar note to skincare, I want to make an effort to wear sunscreen everyday. It’s not that I never wear sunscreen, but I don’t wear it as often as I should. Sunscreen is so important, and the consequences of skipping it are not worth it – health wise and aesthetically.
Believe in myself
We’re gonna get a little deep over here now. One of the main reasons that 2017 was such a shitty year for me (well, it started out that way) was because I lacked self belief. I didn’t believe I was capable of anything, therefore I threw away so many good opportunities. I’m determined for that to not happen again, therefore self belief and self care is so important.
Blog at least once a week
This is one goal that I’m setting, but I’m not going to be too hard on myself if I don’t achieve it. 2018 is going to be busy for me, I’m starting uni and that will be my number one priority – it has to be. However, that doesn’t mean I want to completely throw in the blogging. I want to aim to post at least one blog post a week. I’m going to write up a whole heap of blog posts in advance so that (hopefully) I always have something to post every week. 52 blog posts this year is what I’m hoping to achieve. Let’s see how I go!
There are all five of my goals for the year ahead!
Do you set New Years resolutions? What is one of your goals for 2018?
