I think many of us can agree that the first month of 2018 has dragged on for what feels like an eternity! I for one am very excited for February’s arrival as it’s my birthday month, and I’ve also got a few exciting things planned. We have finally reached the end of January, so it’s only fitting that I write about my favourites of the past month.
Essano Hydrating Leave In Conditioner
At the start of this month, I got a long overdue haircut. We all know the feeling of leaving the hairdressers feeling fabulous with silky soft, perfect looking hair that can never be recreated once we get home. Due to my freshly cut locks, I have been inspired to make more of an effort in caring for my hair, as before now, washing it was the extent of my haircare regime. I’ve started using a leave in conditioner (baby steps!) by Essano and I’ve really enjoyed how soft it makes my hair feel after using it.
Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser
This year I’m really aiming to be more consistent with my skincare, and I’m proud to say that this month I have stuck to my goal *pats back*. In saying this, my skin has been on a little bit of a rollercoaster ride, and has settled down thanks to this cleanser that I’ve been using. It contains a gentle exfoliant as well as baking soda to draw out impurities, which is what I’ve needed lately.
MAC “Dame” Blush
Last year, it became a bit of a rarity that I would wear blush – I just went off it, not great considering I own way too many for one human to ever need in their lifetime. So this month I made an effort to use the product more often, and my blush of choice this month was MAC’s “Dame”. I’d describe it as a cool pink shade with a purple tint of shimmer. The only blush I own from this brand, “Dame” really suits my pale complexion and adds the perfect flush of colour to my face.
This month I’ve had a couple of music favourites. First up is the song “Coming Home” by Sheppard, mainly due to the fact that I’ve heard it non stop thanks to a certain reality tv cooking show ad. Secondly, I’ve been enjoying Liam Payne & Rita Ora’s song “For You” from the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack.
There are all my favourites from the month of January! Not a whole lot this month, as honestly, I haven’t tested out many new things that have impressed me enough lately, so if you know of any great products out there, let me know!
Thanks for reading,
