Hello December!

I thought with it being December, the start of Australian summer (god help us πŸ˜‚), I would do another update type post. I did one three months ago for the start of September/Spring and I actually really enjoyed writing it, so here I am again.

For many of us, December means the holiday season! Christmas!

My family have a bit of a tradition/rule where we put up our Christmas decorations the first Sunday of December and thankfully, this year it lands on the 2nd, so I don’t have too long to wait. Putting up the tree and decorating the house has always been one of my favourite parts of Christmas, it just really puts me in a lovely, festive mood. When do you put your Christmas tree up?

On a personal front, I’VE FINISHED UNI! Well, not really, for this year anyway. Exams are done and dusted and I’m just left waiting for my final results to come through next week. I did it guys, I survived my first year of university. Only 3 more years to go…

I’m thinking about doing an entire blog post along the lines of “things I learned during my first year of uni” because I think that might be helpful to those starting uni soon. Is that something you’d like to see? Let me know.

In regards to blogging, I have an exciting month coming up. Many bloggers will be starting Blogmas today and while I’m not doing that, I do have something exciting planned that I’ll be starting next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Due to my extra free time, as uni is over, I’m writing for my blog so much more and I’m really loving being able to invest more time into it. I’m also able to be more active on social media and I’m so excited that I can get back into that more regularly.

My December Goals

  • Write as many blog posts as possible
  • Complete a ’30 days of Yoga’ challenge
  • Watch a Christmas film every day in the 24 days leading up to Christmas. What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

That concludes my December/end of year update!

What’s one thing you’re excited for this month?

  1. Karen I think your idea of writing a post re what you’ve learned your first year of uni would be very helpful to those who will be heading that way soon.
Enjoy the Christmas season now that your exams are done, and soak up all those traditions you so love. It’s the stuff of memories.

  2. What a lovely update! It’s strange to think you’re celebrating Christmas in Summer! I bet that’s lovely, I would love to spend Christmas in the sun. The post of what you’ve learned in your first year of uni would be great! I’m sure you would help soo many people, it’s always great to hear from other people on their own experience. I hope you enjoy Christmas! Sounds like it’s the best time to start celebrating.
